Dr. Mary D. Lutzo, PhD, LMHC, located in the Tampa Bay area of Saint Petersburg, FL, is a Licensed Psychotherapist and Board Certified Sex Therapist. She earned the prestigious status of National Certified Counselor (NCC) upholding ethical practice and quality assurance in counseling. She has been designated a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists (FAACS) and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology.

Dr. Lutzo provides Solution-Focused Brief Therapy using her knowledge of psychotherapy and her skill in EMDR and Hypnotherapy, when indicated. This approach does not dwell on the past, but focuses on the present and what individuals want to achieve in the future. She works with clients to recognize how the past has affected their attitudes and behavior today. She helps them re-process old, destructive memories and patterns of thinking so that their tomorrows can be transformed into the safe, joyful, and fulfilling life that everyone deserves.

Dr. Lutzo works with adults in the Tampa Bay areas of St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota and Tampa and specializes in sexual abuse therapy and emotional abuse therapy, both of which help to resolve issues from childhood cases of abuse. She also provides adolescents and adults with stress and anxiety therapy, individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, compatible couples with sexual problems, and individuals with gender issues or transitions. She uses her medical background  to assist individuals struggling with medical and surgical health issues.
